THE RAINY SEASON
The rainy season or monsoon is the most awaited season of the year. Nature is thirsty for it. Farmers also pray to their Gods for rain since it helps the crops to grow faster. This season also causes the dry patches of the land to become wet.
Before these useful showers, the weather is dry and humid. One can observe puffs of grey clouds. The sky is pregnant with water. Everyone could feel the heat and humidity and understand the calm before the storm. People, animals and birds are running for shelters. The fragrance of petrichor can be smelled.
We can feel the tug of the wind which makes our umbrella overturned. Sometimes, a light drizzle occurs which is enjoyed by most people while sometimes torrential rains occur which makes us feel as if the heavens have opened. We observe most kids playing in the rains with small paper boats which float on the water which is inside small pot holes. Some people order a hot tea with which they enjoy in the rain.However, these rains may also cause diseases like malaria since stagnant water causes the mosquitoes to breed.
Thus we can hear the crash of thunder and see the flash of lightning. When heavy rain occurs, we can hear it battering on the roof and drumming on the windows.
The rains up lift our moods and make us feel cheerful and happy.
