India is a wonderful country with lots of colorful, joyful festivals. As it has a lot of festivals, it is known as “the land of festivals”. It has a diverse culture and heritage and has many languages. It includes Tamil and Sanskrit, two of the oldest languages in the world. They are known as classical languages.
The modern India is shining with science and technology. Did you know that the C.E.O of Google and Microsoft are Indians? Nowadays, young scientists follow in the footsteps of A.P.J Abdul Kalam, our well-known scientist.
There are also a lot of artefacts and historical places. Taj Mahal, Golconda Fort and Konark Sun Temple are some of them. They must be preserved, and people are renovating some of them.
India is known for its herbal and ayurvedic medicines which are natural. Ayurvedic medicine is one of the world's oldest holistic healing systems. It was developed more than 3000 years ago in India. It is based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body and spirit.
India is also the founder of Yoga. Yoga is an exercise which is good for the body and mind.
India also has diverse landforms. Plains in the north, northeast and south, Mountains in the north, deserts in the west and plateaus in the middle.
For all these reasons, I am proud of my country.
